Top Five weird X-men Superpowers
66Stepford Cuckoos (aka 3-in-One)
Number 5: The Cuckoos
The lovely ladies you see above are actually a single psychic entity. They, the Cuckoos, are currently members - er, a member of the Xavier Institute. All three were created by genetically cloning Emma Frost, via stolen eggs. Somewhere around the Weapon Plus program, there are thousands of floating, incubating Cuckoo babies waiting. These three (Mindee, Celeste and Phoebe) have a hive-mind; that is to say, they think and behave as one entity. Like a colony of ants. The Cuckoos (aka The Stepford Cuckoos, after the 1970's thriller "The Stepford Wives") win for eeriest mutant ability.
Aardvark
Number 4: Aardvark
Okay, he was never actually an X-men. But the only time this oddling showed up was in a few issues of X-men/Captain Universe. But to understand his strangeness, we must observe his story. Aardvark was not always an aadrdvark, you see.
Once upon a time, there was this mutant named Rodger Fieldston, who had the ability to manifest any latent mutant powers in a person he touched. So, if you had latent psychic powers, a touch from Rod and you're reading minds. Or, in the case of Aardvark, one touch and you're...an Aardvark. Hm.
Acanti
Number 3: Acanti
The Acanti are a species of fish that float through the universe, apparently without needing any sort of fuel. They are peaceful creatures that were enslaved by the alien race the Brood, and have had many appearances in the X-men storyline. They're also reminiscent of psychotropic drugs.
Maggot
Number 2: Maggott
So, Maggott's super power is a little...gross. He has two giant worms living in his stomach, named Eeany and Meany. When Japeth wants to eat, he has to let these two monster organisms chew through his stomach, and feed outside his body. The good news is, they can eat just about anything. The bad news is, it's disgusting. The good news is, when they leave his body he gets super-strength. The bad news is, he also turns blue.
Shen and Kuan-Yin Xorn
Number 1: the brothers Shen and Kuan-Yin Xorn
The number-one weirdest mutants that have ever dealt with the X-men are definitely the star-brained Kuan-Yin Xorn and his brother Shen. Both of them had stars (yes, physical stars) manifest in the place where their brains were. It blew off their faces, and now they tend to wear a mask to hide how weird they look. For Shen things were a little different, and he has a black-hole instead of a star for a face. Both of them have undergone a lot of trauma in their lifetimes, and do a lot of meditating. You would too if you were a galactic entity.
